M.e.t.r.o. Church
Text Box: In 1997 God put a dream in our heart to begin a new church on the eastside of Calgary. A church that would reach some of the neediest people in our city with the gospel of Jesus Christ. On October 12, 1997 that dream became a reality. Since that time, with God’s help we have been able to: Distribute hundreds of food hampers and feed thousands through outreach dinners and events. Provide clothes and furniture for many families. Share God’s love in practical ways with over 15 000 people. Present the Gospel message to thousands of people, many of whom had never heard that Jesus died for them. We have only just begun to penetrate the darkness in Greater Forest Lawn. Our desire is to flow in the supernatural power of Jesus Christ, living out His redemptive purposes through us, and partaking in the transformation of men, women and children for the glory of God. M.e.t.r.o. Church is: Members Equipped To Reach Others Purpose Statement: “To build mature members of the body of Christ; who are equipped and trained to reach out in love with the gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world.” Vision Statement: “Bringing Hope to Our City.” Core Values: (R.E.A.L.
